So I saw this video from Thrillist without researching the ingredients I proceeded to the experiment.

I now call it Apple smoked Bourbon Bake-on Pie 🙂 I made some changes to the recipe and added some extra things to it. I think it turned out really well but next time I would add more bourbon. Bourbon is a really nice alcohol to cook with because it adds more depth to anything you cook it with. It doesn’t have to be an expensive brand either – just look for the best cheap bourbon online and you’ll still get a good quality dish from it! Here’s how I did it:
Lined skillet with bacon, stuffed with Hamburger, orange bell pepper, Gouda cheese, BBQ Rub and cheddar. folded over the bacon, grilled at 400 for 40 minutes, removed added sauce, tomatoes, and shredded cheddar. Added bourbon in the sauce and the cook. Despite the bacon burnt ends the flavor was worth trying this recipe again. It was fun to make.
