Many a Barbecue enthusiast has spent a vacation or two on what is referred to as the BBQ trail. Traveling from state to state just to eat at all the top rated BBQ joints along the way. I’ve made this trip: Texas, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kansas City and beyond.

Lockhart is known as the BBQ Capitol of Texas but as a native Houstonian I  have decided to look a little closer to home at the Mom & Pop joints where you can taste the love and the smoke.
